My Posts This: Topic Forum | The blue gears are the newer gears from the Trex Se Version 2. The main gear comes with the new bearing hub. In this gear you can replace the bearing by unscrewing the hub and replacing the full hub and bearing. You do not need a bearing press tool to install / remove the bearing. The orange gears are the older model found on older Trex 450's. The bottom gear shows an aluminum collar to which you must install the the bearing by pressing it in with the required tool. To be honest, I don't even know if those gears are compatible with the mating gear inside your heli. The small blue gear in your heli may not be compatible with the auto gear.
Installing this would be the equivalent of installing a wooden spoked wheel on your car. It may be able to be done if their compatible but every time you strip the main gear you now have to press out the bearing to change gears.
An alternative for you. In the current October Rc heli magazine they do show you how to dye plastic parts. There is a white set of gears that will fit your heli, identical to your blue gears, only white. If you buy those you can dye the gears to the color you want. Now there's an idea! Good luck Jojo
