Well not exactly the same one. My first attempt at flying a RC helicopter was with a Hirobo Shuttle with a blue canopy. That was back in 1986. I crashed it three times and sold it. Later I finally learned on a Schluter HeliStar.

Recently (within the last two years or so) I decided to look for the Shutter again. I found one but it was the Shuttle Z. It was close enough.

I kept it in the box until one day I saw a thread on electric conversion of the Shuttle. So I bought the conversion kit with the motor. The conversion kit was for the ZXX so I had to get a different tail belt pinion. The Z had a smaller hole.

I finally finished it yesterday and test flew it today. It turned out to be a pretty stable machine.

Here are some pictures. I wonder if this really belongs to the antique section or the e-conversion section.

I left it pretty much stock besides the electric conversion. I don't want to fly glow fuel again. I even used the stock linkages.

Is that a Spektrum 6ch RX on there?
If it is, do yourself a favour andget an ar7000.
The 6ch RX doesnt have the same amp rating as the larger RX.
From memory its about 3a vs over 6a.

Nice onversion

If you bling it, they will come :D

Yes, it is. I have a bunch of AR7000 also but I am using the 6200 here because I am using standard servos. So not much amp draw.

Nice Job

Still like the old Shuttle, only nitro i still own due to a ton of spares That must have a very good power to weight ratio.

Team- unbiased opinion,no experts here just trying to help thats all.K.I.S.S principle upheld here

Right here:

Power to weight for the electric is about the same as I remembered with the glow fuel engine. The main advantage is less vibration and clean!
