You shouldnt have to wait 6 to 10 seconds for the gyro...explain your situation in more detail, little confused. Sounds like when you spool up or plug in your pack, you can't get the blades to stop spinning?

definately more info, but it sounds like you need to re-set your tail blade pitch so the heli holds a steady attitude with rudder stick at neutral.

you will need to re-set up yout gyro/tail servo from scratch, since you removed the boom

what gyro?and do you do a rate mode set up?

filling out your profile really helps in situations like this.and if this is an e-sky belt cp,post on the e-sky forum, you will get tons of help from guys that own THAT heli

First, you should fix everything that and check the setup before you test fly. Your post is difficult to follow, so it's hard to give you guidance, but it sound like you gyro's not setup correctly. You might fill us in on what Heli and gyro you're using. Also in the meantime this link may help with the learning curve.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

Not sure nut it sounds like the switch on the gyro is reversed. There should be a direction switch for the servo to tell it in what direction to move. If it is reversed you will go into a death spin on the ground. when the gyro compensates for yaw movement with the servo reversed, it is trying to compensate even more by moving the servo even farther in the wrong direction.

With out spooling up the heli, move your heli by hand in the yaw axis and watch for the tail blades to to pitch against the direction the tail was moved.

Michael

If I hadnt bought my house I would have so much more heli stuff right now. Damn! Hind sight is 20/20

i own a esky belt driven cp v2.about five days ago i was in the front yard flying it,i decided to go down the side of the house and fly back there.i was flying along side the house then i finaly reached the back yard well a gust of wind hit my heli me being a new pilot i tried to correct it and over did the correction.my heli was about 6 to 7 feet in the air i was about 20 feet behind it IT CRASHED BOOM BANG it did the chicken the blades kept trying to spin even though i hit the throttle off when i hit the ground.its electric by the way.so i looked at it had a lot of bent parts(broken parts)fly bar, tail boom, blades, feathearing shaft, nuckle berrings where toast. thats all i think i wrecked.so i put new parts on beside new blades dont have a new set but i have a set of ok blades to use plastic is a little worn off.i went to take off after i fixed all of it and i hit the throttle and the tail started to spin ,i tried to adjust the rudder on my controller it didnt work.so i adjusted the servo its self still didnt work.so my tail starts to go out of control so i stoped it tried to adjust **** again and still wouldent work.i did not adjust my blade pitch though will that effect it?what do you guys think?tips tricks hint please help me if you know what i am talking about.i will post a video and whole bunch of pics latter tonight camera is dead.and a video so you guys can see what i mean,by it wont stop spinning.

also double check you have the belt twisted the right way(should have 1 twist),or there is NOT a double twist in the belt.the tail blades are supposed to spin up into the main blades,or if you are looking at the tail blades from the side of the heli they spin counter clockwise

sounds like the belt or gyro. I wouldn't think the gyro got reversed in the crash, but if belt driven, those little things can get confusing to redo.

i tried to hit my gryo off on my controller the heli handled just fine couldnt fly though i was to scared to fly with it off.yes i hit the switch backwards on the gyro when i couldnt figure out what was wrong i fliped it back though rite after.no my belt looked good by the way it had one twist in it im putting on a new one and going to purchase a new gyro ,my hobby store said thats what is most likley wrong.i called them over the phone though im going in this sunday for a visual look so they can see what i mean.i do not fly upside down yet cant firgure out how to i got a flight simulator(g4.5) though, im going to get a centrey gyro dont now how good it works going to buy it still the hobby store has one for 130 dollers but i dont know what kind it is.it is pointless to buy a 130$ gyro when the heli is only 90 days old and cost 180$ new.ps DONT BUY A HELI FROM BANANA HOBBY!TRUST ME.

+1 on the belt.
More than likely its twisted the wrong direction, and that is making your tailbaldes turn in the opposite direction.

i got it working ok now

ok i got her going half decent know i played with my controller and gyro the controller was reversed on the direction it should have been i took my tail boom apart switched it with a new belt and whole inchalada,it works ok know.the tail stil shakes for a second left to right til i idle up a little then it becomes ok.i got a bad vibration when i land and take off though i told the hobby store they said main shaft, blade pitch or paddle degree at wich they are plAced rite know or a combination of all of the above.my heli got a new set of blades today so this weekend i will have the pitch adjusted and paddles adjusted to. i upriciate your guys help a lot when i comes to telling me to try this or that to fix my heli.you guys are a free verbal mechanic it helps a lot for a new pilot like me.i will post pictures of my wreck before and after, later on tonight.thanks guys a lot i mean it.
