The new Aurora has built in real time telemtry. You can see in real time things like fuel level, battery level, engine RPM, rotor RPM. Basically the things you can measure with the EagleTree stuff but builtin to your Tx. The price is pretty good too for the Tx. $450 or so is what I heard. Its 9 channels. Comes with a 7ch Rx and a coupon for a free 2nd Rx and a coupon for a 3rd Rx at $30. Basically the Tx and 3 7ch Rxs for around $500. That would cover most of my main machines. I will probably not get one tho. My DX7 is working just fine.

Telemetry sensor module to feed the info back to the Tx display.
Sensors are, RPM, Temp, GPS and more.

Rx voltage is already being displayed on Tx without any additional module.

however, Eagle Tree doesn't measure the fuel level , I sent an email to the technician in Eagle Tree and he said will forward this request to the developing team since the customer cares about this functionality .

Oh yea. Good point. Honestly, I really have no use for the fuel level readout. I have not problem dropping down and checking the tank and using my timer efectivly.

It would be GREAT for scale machines though where the fuel tank is not visible many times.

All in all I think this is going to an awesome Tx to add to the mix. It is about time telemetry was built-in on Tx. I imagine we will see the other guys following suit should it work well.

Update for the sensors availability !!

hey guys this is what the hitec customer service replied to me :

Hello Tariq,
Thank you for choosing Hitec products. Unfortunately, the Telemetry will not be available until the end of the first quarter next year. When they are available I would look to the larger Retail stores such as Tower Hobbies.

Thank you,

I think telemetry is great news. I just wonder what kind of receivers the Hitec radio will be able to use? Certainly not Futaba or JR/Spektrum. Since some of these new flybarless systems (such as the CY Total-G and the Mikado V-bar) use Spektrum/JR satellites, then the Hitec radio would probably not work with them.

These are 2.4GHz receivers, I presume? Are they expensive?

Compared to the 12X which appears right next to it (and with a price tag of $1500), the Hitec radio at $459 is a real bargain. Especially with the real time telemetry included.

If you are a member of Tower's Super Saver club you probably get discount codes emailed to you. I bought mine through Tower and got $60 off plus free shipping. They have the Aurora 9 with a 7 ch RX listed for $429. After subtracting my discount it was a SWEEEET deal! I did send in the coupon along with $39.99 and received 2 more receivers (one free, one half off). I now have a total of three 7 channel receivers and the transmitter all for $410 total.

I like the feel of the Aurora and the touch screen programming is very cool. I have yet to fly with it though. I'm building a glider as my first to fly with the Aurora; in fact, it will be my first 2.4 Ghz radio system ever. If all goes well, which I expect it to, I'll convert my TRex next. If you still have 72 mhz stuff and don't want to convert everything at once, you can buy a 72 mhz module for the Aurora as well.
