notice how the ksj flybar cage hits the main grips when the right stick is put in all the way up into the right or left corner of the controller. And then when you rotate the main shaft like it would do when you fly it, you can hear the cage and the grips go click, click, click.. It is putting lots of pressure on the flybar cage. It collides and binds up pretty hard. Its strange because I have the mixing arms level with each other, all servo's 90'ed with no binding. I have +11, 0, -11 on my pitches with the swash mix set at 60 pitch, 50 alleron, and 50 elevator. In order to prevent this collison and binding I have to lower the swash mix to an impracticle amount.. In the 30's.. Is anyone running this flybar cage and if so what did you do..

O and one more thing.. See the photo of the tail servo push rod. See how it rubs on the main gear as it works the tail rotor.. What the hell is up with that????? Anyone else have all these issues.. Anyone wanna buy a 90LOL

The swash mix % value is not what matters, but rather the number of degrees of cyclic you get from that.

So I would suggest you put the highest ele & ail swash mix value without any binding and then measure the amount of degrees of cyclic you get.
If you have more then 6 or 7 degrees this should be OK.

On the tail pushrod, yes it's close to the main gear but in your case I believe your servo arm is simply too short. Look at the picture below
to see the margin you get with a bit longer arm.

well

what I am saying is I get that binding at the blade grips no matter what swash mix value I put it..

as far as the tail servo push rod.. I need to play more with the longer servo arm but I found out with a shorter arm I can run the end point limits on the 611 at 115 each way. the longer arm I get 100 and 100.. Its my understanding that the gyro works better at 115. It has shorter distance to travel to get full through. I guess I cant leave it rubbing on the gears.

Same problem here. I trashed 3 K&S flybar cages because of hitting to blade grips during the flight. Hopefully, I didn't crash the heli and I replaced with the Quick UK one. Its much stronger.

This is what I did.

In this picture, I took out bolts(blue arrow) and put 3 X 18 button-head bolts. It is about $2~3 in local hobby shop.
This is what I used.

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...p?&I=LXKLZ3&P=7

This will give you little more clearance between flybar cage and the bolts.

And take a look at BLACK arrow. you can move it inward on the gold part. Just move it inward until you clear the blade grips and the button head bolt that I explain to you above.

You will clear the bolts and the blades grips, but it will be really close. On my V9, the clearances on those parts are not even 1mm. maybe .5mm.

Ok.. I will try that...

I was looking for a quick uk fly bar cage.. Maybe I will go with the KSJ.. I hear its a piece of junk and prone to failure.. Did you do the grip flip thing.. I guess that requires shaving off the plastic nub on the grips.. I wish someone would post a picture of their grip flip..

Mad Problem

Relook your link adjustment page 4-6. In the photo your (A) link looks to be a little long, check each link and readjust to what is in the manual.

Then go back and reset your radio to 65 pitch 55 ALI. 55 ELE. When you track the heli. make adjustments to the (B) links to bring the blades into track.

Also look at page 4-4 and make sure your seesaw links are set at 14.5mm if that don't get it use the next best thing, call CY and tell them of the problem.

I sent you links to the grip flip mod along with the similar problems I had through my build when we first started talking, go back and look at that PM.

Heres the link http://rc.runryder.com/helicopter/t...be+90+grip+flip

The ball is to close to the servo on the rudder servo. The manual calls for a specific distance out. When I was running the 611 I could only get my limits to around 105-110.

First off if you have cranked on any of the links go back and set them per manual. As far as pitch you should be able to run +-14 because I have the same setup and mine works fine. Reduce the travel on the aileron and elevator to it doesn't hit and that should take care of your problems
