My Posts This: Topic Forum | nOObA modified Hanson 2x cc (i.e., 20, 23, 26, or 27cc) refers to an engine that may have been balanced, ported, or in some some way enhanced over the stock engine. If you go back through the posts in this forum you will find plenty of info. The modified engines are supposed to run smoother and give more power than a stock Zenoah. With the exception of certain Align 700 Gs, I believe that generally, most all gasser heli's are running some version of a Zenoah. Start searching around here and ask questions. Many will chime in.
BH Hanson was started by Bruce Hanson and has been taken over by Al. I got two modified 230's from Bruce and they are great. Al gives great support. See: [url=http://www.bhhanson.com/]
"Toxic Al" I think his name is, also does similar work and you will also find many posts in this forum about and by him. See: [url=http://www.toxicmarine.com/]
There is yet another fellow (Wally) that has had much attention recently given him for his work on a modified 27 cc engine. There are also videos of him flying with his engine. See: use the Search button to look for "Wally engine" or similar for all the posts.
Most all the gassers run a two stroke engine that will require lubrication. So, I recommend that the first question you ask be:
"What oil should I use?"
