I've got the gy520 w/ hitec 5084 servo.

COuld someone please give me there settings they are using or help me set it up. I've read the manual and I think i have pretty much everything setup right. However when i spool up it wags violently and sometimes jerks almost 90 degrees and continues to wag.

If you could give me your setup or some help would be great!

On gyro setup, first and most important. Tail must be perfect when gyro is in normal mode. If not, you will never get the gyro to operate correctly. As far as setup, the 520 is the easiest yet. Follow the flashing light instructions and use F3C mode (not 3D mode), as it works much better this way. Make sure you have the right setting for the servo you are using and if it still bounces too much, go to the thicker foam pad and the plate.

You can try the different settings for the servo. Not sure exactly where that servo falls into. That could be one place to check.

Did you set the endpoints properly?

Almost sounds now as if the direction is backwards.
Can you even get the model in the air or does it try to spin?

Its working the right direction i know that for a fact. I can get it in to the air but its impossible to keep the tail from bouncing all over the place.

I think at this point I would swap the TR servo out with a different one and see if that solves the problem.

Try going in one hole on the servo arm. This will dampen the sensitivity

I finally figured it out. It turns out the motor had rubbed through the insulation and it was shorting out. After fixing the wires and rerouting them everything works great now.

Thanks for the help guys.
