I've got the gy520 w/ hitec 5084 servo.

COuld someone please give me there settings they are using or help me set it up. I've read the manual and I think i have pretty much everything setup right. However when i spool up it wags violently and sometimesjerks almost 90 degrees and continues to wag.

If you could give me your setup or some help would be great!

Thanks,
Blake

You can't just set it to 90, its NOT an align gyro. You have to setup for Normal Mode first (try 30 gain in normal mode also as a starting point try around 3 to 4 degrees on your tail )

My gain setting is 26/18 in HH , also if you have the programmer for 520 then set some delay on.

same delay setting as on the 401, let me check up which is equivalent. I did it a long time ago.

"If you are having "bouncing" during hard tail stops, it may be because the response of the gyro is faster than the heli tail movement caused by too fast of a response setting.

Different brands of helicopters use different gear ratios. In order to get the optimum performance between the GY520 and all brands of helicopter, you can either adjust the rudder delay in your transmitter, or change the servo response setting to a slower speed to help resolve any issues. (Example: From Fast>Reference>Slow)

The CIU-2 parameter setting option will offer a more detailed setting with the AVCS response setting menu." Now let me find the setting in the programmer

Control Response
Initial value: Left=7, right=7, setting range: 0-20
Sets the rudder operation delay. The left and right delays can be set separately. When the set value is increased, the delay increases. When the rebound when the tail stops is large, it can be reduced by increasing the delay.

AVCS Response
Initial value: Left/In=7, Left/Out=7, Right/In=7, Right/Out=7, setting range: 0-20
Adjusts the tail operation response speed. When the set value is increased, the response speed decreases. "In" is the delay setting when the rudder stick is moved to the left and right from the neutral position. "Out" is the delay setting when the rudder stick is returned to the neutral position from the left and right. The left and right in/out delay can be set separately. The rudder operation feeling and rebound characteristic when the tail stops change just like the "Control Response" setting.
