vbar new in the states is 475.95 shipped. i imagine all other 3-axis units will be aiming at that price as well. Align will probably drive that pricepoint down if/when they come to market. but, don't count on prices to start moving for a good 18months or so if they bring anything to market at all.

cuXXXntly new heads range from $40-$300 depending on what you're trying to convert...or if you're handy you can mill/machine up a swash driver for your cuXXXnt head and save some $$$.

if it ain't broke…break it.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I would seriously consider the sk360 for a cheaper option. It is a bit more plug and play than vbar. You can keep your current tail gyro and there is one less thing to worry about.

Personally I find the "other site" a bit better for flybarless info as theY have product specific threads.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		360 is certainly not more plug and play for flybarless, at least not now with 4.0. Presets and very few adjustments, pretty user friendly and easy imo. DL the software to view, it is free, you'll see it is far from complex really. There is no comparison to how 360SKS and Vbar flies, not even close, the first piroflip reveals this very thing.

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

There are benifits of having tail gyro incorporated and it does show up in flight easily.

SK makes it one more thing to worry about IMO, that is until they have a 3 axis unit

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Ok it must have been my imagination when I simply plugged in my 360 to the 700n and have barely touched it since.

And yes I guess when I do my first piro flip I might notice a difference

my suggestion is for guys who have already shelled out big money for a tail gyro and want to have a try at flybarless for a little cheaper.

If you google Skookum you'll only find about a million hard core 3d videos with the Skookums...so yes...they work well even for 3d...but..there are superior systems.

The 3 axis systems are more intuitive and offer better tail control than even the best stand alone tail gyros out there.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I agree there are superior systems than the 360. Even skookum has a new 3 axis system the 720. However what I like about the 360 is you can keep your tail gyro in the meantime. As jag said there are plenty of guys that can do hardcore 3d with the 360 and for the average flyer (which most of us are) it is a good cheapesh start into flybarless.

If you don't like how it feels at least you have not flogged off your tail gyro and spent a fortune.

I would like to try vbar at some stage but with my flying ability I am more than content with my 360

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Lets say my broke butt got the skookum SK360,could I use my stock Trex 600N head?The only reason I haven't tryed flybarless yet is the price,after looking at the 360 I like the price and ideal I can keep my new Spartan DS760 .Would I be good with my Align head?

you'd be better off selling your stock head and buying a new dedicated flybarless head.

In the end you'll get as much for the stock head as it would cost you for a new flybarless head. A new head is only about $100

you could convert the stock head but it wouldn't be worth it...

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Wow thats not bad at all,I thought they were more than that.I have a whole nother frame set that im saving parts for so i'll have another T600.The one im flying now is getting the bigblock and im putting the OS50 Hyper/MP5 in the other air frame when its finished.After reading all this im saving my money for the SK360.Our season is pretty much over but this comming spring i'll have a bad azz Bigblock flybarless Trex 600N ,man I can't wait haha.Thanks for the advice/help and i'll send ya some videos as soon as im finished .Im calling my heli a Trex 650 nitro on crack LOL..
