Yes and it is as distracting as anything out there, practice some emergency landings, cause that's what they become when one of those buggers is on ya!

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

I was wearing polaroid clip ons as sunglasses and the clip sprung, hit the lens, chipped it and the piece went into my eye. Had to land with one eye closed.

Man, the mosquitos and biting flies get us at our field, it sucks, you just have to bear it until you can land. Every now and then I gotta make a quick landing to smack one.

Some industrial grade DEET works (if you don't leave it at home, lol).

We go through our field once a year to kill the fire ant beds. Getting attacked once in the air was all it took to start that ritual.

He didn't actually sting me, but a bee got between my right hand and the transmitter. Freaked me out pretty good. I did not want to let go, but I did not want to get stung, while he was buzzing around in there!

Ive never been stung by a bee while flying, but mosquitoes I have. I did get stung by a wasp in the neck (where my jacket didnt cover at the collar) while riding my motorcycle. Talk about distracting!

I get bit all the time with bugs and mosquitos at our field. A common ritual now is to soak ourselves in bug spray before we go to the flight line

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

Not yet, but I have almost crashed several times when various bugs (mostly bees) buzz around me and land on my face or my hands. I am one of those people that really does not like bees and do the bee dance when one lands on me. So, while flying it is torture. So far I have been able to hold it together long enough to land safely before do the "bee dance"

A woman at our field the other had a bee crawl into her drink can. She took a big gulp and the bee got into here mouth and stung the back of her throat before it got washed down into her stomach. That is up there with some of my greatest fears. A bee in my mouth.

Yes. Little sob stung me right in the middle of my bottom lip at a ff while I was doing the bottle knock down event. Lip was so swollen that everyone called me Bubba for the rest of the event. I did not mind that much, but my lip hurt like hell for hours.

Another time a bee in between my glasses and my eye. I got lucky and I did not get stung. Flying a helicopter with a bee bouncing between your glasses and your eyeball is no fun at all, but it is an absolute riot for everyone else standing around.
