I know for a guaranteed fact that I would crash that in a millisecond,I would look at the wrong one at the right time or something like that.

Not a new concept by any means.....

Several years ago, a buddy tried a similar "home made" device.... thought being, it would be a great training aid to learn inverted hovering....

Results ?? Disastrous !!

Already knowing how to hover inverted, I was able to "test fly" the device successfully... but when it came time for the actual "training" , well......

Suffice it to say, save your money !

As always, your mileage may vary.....

RCCannuck tried one of those. He had a video of using one without knowing how to fly inverted. He said that he was going to show what it would really be like instead of seeing commercials with it working out of the box. (professionals using it). FLight lasted a few seconds. funny video.

LOL !!!

Amazingly enough, that was the exact same result when my buddy gave his setup a go..... it was with an R-30 or R-50, can't specifically recall.....

My guess the reason it took off so quickly because of the throttle curve and pitch curve starting upside down. In theory my guess would have the pitch and throttle curves as u would be as the regular position.

I much prefer.................

The video of the guys with a string tied to a pole hanging over the wooden fence. I can't find the video but it's a classic. These guys had the heli tied on like they were fishing and it got very scary for the guy holding the pole. Darwin Award Contender for sure.

I think the center of gravity on that first one would be high on this and it would be prone to tip over.

Just my 2c from looking at it.

And this coming from a guy who thinks training gear is a good thing. The sim is the best invert trainer there is.

Er, simulator, guys. Not hard. Free. No repairs required.

My simulator (Heli-X) has a hover training mode where it can manage some of the channels (collective/rudder/cyclic) while you manage the others. Even works inversed. Lets you train your left thumb or right thumb independently.

And the guys with the pole... it wouldn't be hard to make an anchored stand out of PVC pipe, so you don't kill or maim your friend.

For all you people prodding these guys with their crazy contraptions please be aware that if all the sudden tomorrow everyone woke up totally sane and full of common sense these priceless, incredibly wonderful and entertaining videos would instantly disappear from our existence.

So to all these creative shirtless folks I say "Rock On!" Please ignore these nancys and keep those cameras rolling.

Anyone try reversing the pitch channel, hanging upside down from their heels while suspending the heli from their transmitter antenna? Please get that on video.

Ya know, if you strap it to the back of a large cat it will always land on its feet - for an extra measure of assurance be sure to peanut butter the cat's belly. If your gonna try this please let me know and I'll send you a video camera myself.

i always wanted to put a heli into a carbon fiber hamster ball type contraption so even if it hit the ground going full pop no damage would occur and call it the flying sphere ship imagine full speed landings into a piro roll stop awesome!!!
