I got 3 sets of teh new Align wood core CF 600mm D series super pro blades awhile back. Just got around to trying a set today on my Vibe50 and modded TT53 with OS 3needle carb today.

Blades flew pretty well. Weren't quite as stiff as I was expecting and actually seem more flexy than the Radix 600's I had on there. IN flight though they flew well and transitioned pretty quick. Good noises and blade noise

Tracking was very good and I didn't have any issues like I've read about. Weight was about 116.x grams for one blade and 119 for the other. My Radix were a portly 140gm ea. I put a small foil sticker on the ligher blade and everything seemed fine. Fit/finish so far seem acceptable. Few paint errors, but slight. Didn't load the head too bad, unless I was uber poor on the collective and cyclic management.

Autos were pretty terrible though. Didn't carry energy like the Radix or even my Mavrikk G5 pro wide cords.

For the Vibe50 I think they fly very well. Are flexy enough to allow the heavier airframe to fly good 3d w/out bogging the head down easily like V's or Mavrikk G5's can due to the stiffness. Good pop and quick transitions and blade noise. Cyclics were nice and fast. Faster than i recall with the Radix. Didn't auto that nice though in conclusion.

Haven't tried/opened the other 2 sets so I can't comment on those or how QC is between sets. Got the 3 sets after seeing the Szabo thread and the rumors that these would fly like cheap V'blades. Well, they fly nice, but I wouldn't say they are much like V's as V's auto nicer but will load the head alot more than these Aligns. The V TST extremes are WAY stiffer than these Aligns, but IMO are too stiff for my skill level to fly on the heavier Vibe50.

thought I'd post this up for people considering this blade choice

personally my favorite blades are still Mavrikk G5Pro wide cords on everything but my Vibe50, where I used to prefer the Radix. I'll have to get more time on these Aligns before I will say they outfly the Radix, but early results are promising, except for the Auto performance of course. Autos aren't that important for me though, so that's a lesser concern to me.

SUPER PRO BLADES

Least you like them mate cause i hate them. Taking my 2nd set back for for refund. they wont track and it flies like the heli is drunk. Both sets have been way to soft and found normal woodies fly better. Gave them to guy in our local club sectury to try and his comment was use them as tent pegs cause there no good on your heli and he flies with v blades all the time. thats just imo though.

When you take it home in one piece its a good day

yeah they are nowhere near as stiff as I was predicting. But these fly well on my Vibe50. Maybe I got lucky with a set. Your story is not the only one like it I heard

Flew again today and they started out of track and even after pitch pumps stayed out of track. So I adjusted my head links to get them back in track and they seemed to fly good for the 4-5 flights I put on them today.

I really like how they fly. Great pop and cyclic rate on my Vibe50. It's too bad there is some tracking issues at times with them. I would hope Align fixes the problem, b/c I think it's a great blade when it flies right. They are my favorite blade right now on my Vibe50.

yeah I"m not sure what causes this. I really like how they fly when they fly right!

I have two more new sets and might send them back, until Align fixes them anyway---I'm not going to buy more until then

My set dont go out of track even at 2100rpm on a crap heli! Mine weigh 108.5g each!!!!! Very twitchy but managable with a little expo. You can load the head up more with these blades than with the standard 600D's but there again they are more responsive. They auto as good as any other blade, due to their light weight it is easy to get them spinning quickly again if you have slowed them down from flipping or rolling out of an inverted auto or doing blade stop autos. The only difference is less hang time at the end of the auto.

i've had this blade for several weeks now and also see the tracking issue. not sure what causes it but on average i've had to adjust once per gallon. flies great though when it's tracked. i never had the issue with the regular 600D foam core.

i can live with it but it's still a pain. hey worse things can happen right - at least it doesn't blow up like the 690D.
