I know I asked you this in a PM but I thought I would post here to see how many others are interested. I cant be the only one.

If I could put a jewel and a stator gator on one I would order now but I will wait until these things get worked out.

I don't think a SG will work with that motor's ignition??

I guess you could ask Century, they carry the SG maybe they have it?

I'm allways right 97% of the time..............So who cares about the other 4%??

I am going to scope the EI and see what kind of a signal is being sent to the module, it would be nice to use it to trigger the GV-1.

the EI uses a flying magnet crank trigger,
why not just use that with the stock GV1 pick up?

Depends on how the magnet is polarized. Remember the GV-1 mag direction is relevent, unlike most of the more modern governor sensors.

Radical

One local guy just bought one of these from a hobby shop here. I'll get to see it as soon as Century ships it to the hobby shop for him.

I'm also curious about his machine and want to make a dual output unit to power it in the air. I'm happy he is here local so I can use his machine as a sample to get some test flights on.

I think most people that fly gassers now use the GV1 (well the rich one's do)so all they have to do is fit a magnet in the fan before assembly or better still ask Century if they could machine the fan for a magnet and counter weight to save you having to balance it again.
I was lucky with the 20cc because I used a revlock governor that shared the same polarity so it worked with the ignition magnet

could you show the revlok setup I do love the GV-1/SG on the 26, but am not a huge futaba fan. I just don't like the sensor.

And BTW Fixit you need to get a grip on the funds satire you wast more money testing those crazy (but cool) Ideas and custom helis than most of us spend

Did my friend did but now my slush fund has run dry with no foreseeable way of replenishing it so it looks like begging in the street

The revlock is just a govenor with no readouts but it works for me, I can post a link but if you google it you will find it easy enough

Thanks Smallplanes!

I'll get you a measurement as soon as I see the helicopter.

This thing is top start right? Does it have a one way bearing like the Predator did?

And does it have the pull start option available now or is it a coming soon sort of thing?

Wondering if I need to belt drive it and keep it a top start?

I guess I need to look at it first before I'll know more.

Raja, it's setup the same as the Predator with the one way bearing pressed into the clutch shoes. When I called Century a couple of weeks ago, I was told that the pull start option will be available in the near future. What ever that means.

I just went through the manual and no pull start directions.

I am bummed as I have not had a starter for several years now. not having the support equipment was one reason I went electric and gas only. but from what I am reading it might be worth another starter.

Not sure why Century didn't make the option available at the same time the Heli was released, but it looks like it will be an option.

These pics were posted on another thread.
