I just wanted to post a note about some excellent customer service I received from Jenny at Castle Creations. To make a very long story short - I had issues with two 110-HV ESC's that ran for one flight and then just stopped working. Wouldn't arm / restart no matter what I tried yet the castle link could still see / talk with them. Instead of just putting on the 3rd ESC I figured it had to be the motor and swapped out the motor at the same time the 3rd ESC went in. All is fine the motor was the issue.

Sent both defective ESC's to Castle and after verifying some recites I was told they would be covered. One note though one of these had been in for warranty work twice previously and Jenny stated she would cover it but if I had more issues going forward I'd need to pay etc... I didn't know this at the time since I purchased it "used" technically... Jenny you rock my dear. It was obviously user error since I had two ESC's with the same symptoms and I fully expected to pay for some of the repairs. Jenny truly went above and beyond and this will be the situation I think back on when I go to purchase another ESC in the future. Jenny Thank You so much for rectifying this situation your a true example of Great Customer Service in action!

I think he was stating that 2 ESC's failed and he sent them in. Thinking it was more then coincidence he opted to swap in a new motor on replacement of the 3rd ESC and only then was everything ok.

The ESC's I sent in weren't functioning. You'd plug in the lipos (2x 6s @5000mah) and it would just blink. It would never "arm". Both of these became that way after one flight - exact same scenario died around 100ft up and would not restart. Both cool to the touch when it did land, the motor being the one that was slightly hot. No signs of burning or anything visible and they would both still talk to castle - link as I even tried updating firmware and it was successful.

I then replaced the motor with the installation of the 3rd ESC and all is well. Something was wrong with the motor that was causing it to pull more or feedback some how into the ESC's causing them to stop working. 3rd 110-HV is now on the heli with new motor and we prob have 25 flights or so on this configuration with zero issues. Hence my thought it was the motor not the ESC's... I'll have two Used 110-HV ESC's for sale once I get them back now

Had about the same problem.. Sent a Hv 85 in for repair ,it had been in before also.. Well after i was told it wasn't repairable or under warranty, i could purchase another one for somewhere around 80 to 90 dollars.
I said i didn't think i would do that so i asked for it back and was told it was scrapped and they sent my deans connectors and bullett connectors back.. In my opinion they should have sent my old ESC back i did pay for it afterall...

Sorry to hear yours didn't work out as well as mine did but I didn't have a problem. Jenny took good care of me and made the situation more then right. Like I said I expected to be paying somewhat for the labor to "reset" them as I assumed this is what they needed. Not sure actually what happened to them in the first place - maybe paperwork will have that info.
