Marc,

I had a blast, it was fun watching you fly... Currently loading up the simulator and searching for solutions to my surging governor issue! I need to get JetFire out with us and we'll start to have a crew!

Looking forward to this next weekend, I'll get my Heli ready and make sure I have plenty of fuel. You gotta send me a link to the 450 you got, looked sweet.

I need to get JetFire out with us

Yeah man... I'll pencil in next weekend so I can meet everyone. I showed up at WIC at 4pm today with my 700N because I couldn't make it sooner and burned a couple of tanks. Next weekend sounds good. Let me know what everyone agrees on so I can plan accordingly. The sooner I know, the better.

Horacio,
Hope you can make it.

Hey Jetfire. We must have just missed you. Hash and I were the last ones out. I think it was around 3:30 bummer. It sounds like a group is definately in the making. I showed up around 1030 SUNDAY and seemed like a good time to start with helis. I think most of the airplanes had most of thier flights in already and were just hanging out. A few flights here and there but pretty low key. Too early and it might be like millerton lake boat ramp at the end of the day with everyone trying to load thier boat. Next weekend I'll get out there earlier and see how it goes. But today was very nice. Great bunch. Super nice and made myself and my girlfriend feel very welcome.

Hash here is a link to the 450 pro
They run 536.99 RX & batt ready. Check out Bert on youtube doing the demo. Crazy!!!

Hash. My girlfriend has footage from your MA Fury flight. I can put it on a disk, e-mail, or post it on youtube if you want. Let me know.
Looking forward to next weekend!!! Jetfire I can't wait to see the 700n!

If anyone has time during the week I'm avalible. Still looking for work with nothing but time. Get a few flights in practice and really bang some sticks this weekend!

Marc W.

P.S. here was my last flight at WIC

SWEET!!! Sounds like we'll be out in full force this weekend!

Marc, Tell Lacey she can post any video she has... Just shoot me a link so I can watch it too! The more people we get out there the better...

Got a link to the video of Bert flying that 450? Lots of Bert video's on YouTube so I want to make sure I see the correct one...

Hash, Ok I'll post it. I also posted the MSR's buzzing light poles looks funny. Be better if we had a swarm! Going to have to figure out how to tell them apart! Helis are going to be in full effect this weekend. Very cool.

Here is the one I saw. Pretty impresive!

just got done talking to Marc. I'll be joining you guys to fly, probably once thanksgiving is past. On sundays I wouldnt be out till after noon though. Saturdays I can get out earlier.

I had been a member out at ave 12 since 1990, but in 2001 or so I just went on the "inactive members" list because my son grew up and lost interest and we got heavily into vintage motorcycles... another hobby.

I have been flying at Wawona Jr. High school, since I live near Palm/Shaw fig garden area. No one has ever said anything, I've flown raptor 30 and 50 there, as well as electrics.

my current 2 helicopters are these:
the AH-1F is a raptor 50, OS50 hyper, raptor 90 tail
the AH-1W is a swift with a Scorpion

Jan,

That is one nice scale heli! I looked through your gallery and I must say I never knew that doing a scale model was that much work. I guess that's why scale pilot's do not stick bang. Looks awesome I bet even better in person. Look forward to having you fly with us!

Marc,

Consider it sold! I am trying to figure out what is going on with the tail on my Fury so I do not plan on bringing it out tomorrow. Wife/Son are sick so I will just come out for a while to hang out and snag that 450 from you!

Another flying buddy of mine and I will be showing up on or around 10AM SAT... weather permitting. Reserving Sunday for football.. I don't plan on being there all day (3-4 hrs max) because I have something to do later that day so I hope to see some of you guys there.

WIC and the Visalia funfly

Well thats a bumber about sunday. Ive never been into to football, holidays, family functions ect.... But I have another buddy I can always count on that stays home and watches football. What If you bring a TV on sunday? I have a small inverter.

I was on the phone with Adam aka(skidzup) Last night getting some good info on the fun fly.

1. AMA required but if you don't have it he's bringing the card scanner and can get you setup at the feild.

2. There is no reg fee no anything fee! Show up and fly! There will be warming fires, Sim shack to practice, raffle (nothing super high dollar) A few pro Pilots and some Visalia guys that will throw down. A few empty beverage containers in the trash, generators, and possibly a few events. He's expecting a better turn out this year.

3. There will be a donation box only. I think that is pretty cool. Free food.

He works at Visalia Hobby. It looks like it is really going to be a good time. There are things he doesn't promote to try to keep it a "fliers funfly" It sounds awesome.

jan 1-3 visalia old golf course. He gives directions on the Events Thread @ RR.

It would be very cool to get as many Fresno/Clovis/CENCAL guys down there and represent. He's hearing a pretty good buzz around his area, and I told him the same is going on up here. Very cool.

Hash, Jetfire and a buddy are going to wic today. I'm getting ready to go. I have 2 batteries for my 6. You will really like the 450pro i promise. I love it. I have it setup pretty quick on my radio. It still hovers hands off. But was thinking to just use my radio see if you like the way it fly's then just program your radio from that. It really helped me. Having a machine than flys good really helps learning. Without having the 450 for a month I would not be flying my 600 the way I do. Everything is a step. Very excited about the 700nL. My 600 will probably be up for sale in the near future.

Thanks guys. I'll see whoever is going out today and see the rest of you on sunday.

WIC

Had a great time. Wind and all! 20mph. Jetfire and Eric really know how to throw down! And Tim your flybarless heli rocks! Had a great time. Hash your gonna love the 450. Hope every one at your house is feeling better tomorrow. I decided to drive back out to WIC after coffee and met Jetfire and Eric. Trying to talk them into bringing the TV out there to watch football and fly heli's. I can't believe the guys flying their planes this morning. flying down the runnway at 45* angles just to stay lined up! Lots of fun. Told all the guys about Visalia. Can't wait. Look forward to tomorrow.

Marc,

It was nice to meet you and your girlfriend. I'm not sure about tomorrow or future weekends as of yet because its usually hectic for me but I never had that much fun in a long time so we definitely have to do it again sometime. I will try to drop by tomorrow if I'm in the area but I cant make any promises. That was some impressive flying you did today. The wind was a bit intimidating at first but nothing we all couldn't handle. Everybody went home with everything in one piece, so to me... a day like today is a good day.
