Finally got the flybarless conversion done on Frankenheli.
Had to be at the house working all day, but I tossed it in the car "just in case" I had time for a break.

Well, I took a few minutes and spooled it up in the garage.
It lifted off okay, and then became immediately apparent that that was not your kids CX2 anymore! This thing is TOUCHY!!
I put it down and tried to crank in some expo to help calm the center stick down. That helped some. I managed to get it about a foot off the ground, and hold it there, but it was far from a spot hover! hahaha!

Unfortunately, I had a lot to do, so that's about all I got done with the heli today. But I'm convinced it's flyable. It seems to feel like a very touchy FP (which is exactly what it is). But I think with practice, it can be flown.

I guess the next question is "why"?
Because it's there, and needed to be done I guess.

Stay tuned for more.

Helicopters don't fly, they beat the air into submission.
