Cool mod I thought about a drop servo like on the super cubs we been taping those little guys to the bottom and shaking them off this summer like your way much better you would be surprised how well a piece of scotch tape holds when you dont want it to. Used oil from fingers spit on tape anything to loosen it and its still hard to kick them out.

Did you use an actuator or like a retract servo?

Oh and be very careful the Parkzone canopies like to crack easily so I would not launch at full throttle if I was you.

BTW best 2 mods I did to my t-28 was removing the wheels and modifying it to fit a rimfire .10 30-35 1250kv MOTOR It hauls now hand launches vertical on the stock prop.

Thats how kids are made Norsman.

I was asking what kind of servo it was cause a retract servo travels 180 degrees fast that canopy pops up dang fast. but I caught it in the vid the pushrod is right at the hinge.

As for the canopy I meant if the canopy starts twisting it will rip at the hinge. I got mine to hot with a hot glue gun it cracked but not to worry the ducks are OK.

I was kind of thinking the same thing like a U-shape from the front to the back. The T-28 flies fine with a few more ounces than stock. You can go 100W per pound the T-28 is 25oz without gear and a 200w motor so its good for 32oz and still fly good.

I am at 26oz cause I used a plywood spacer for the more powerful motor 333W continuous. Yeah its smokin you can hear the thing whistle in a hard dive.

Have you crashed it?

Why I ask is sounds like you lost the incidence. the trojan has a crazy amount of down and right thrust. If your's was more straight it would cause the problem your explaining or make sure your motor mount is not broken one of the legs pulling the motor up when you go full throttle. I never trim my trojan and it flies inverted as well as right side up. They are really great planes.

How do I know this you ask we got about a dozen trojan fliers at the club we have seen about everything you can do to a trojan. Mine tid bit I added was I gave the trojan an insane amount of throws and would loose the canopy every torque roll. Replaced the magnet with earth magnet.

Oh and the Me-109 sucks dont waste your money but the mustang is a fun flyer but tailheavy 3/4 down elevator to fly inverted.

yeah me too we all crash sooner or later trying to do dumb stuff with the trojans I flew inverted into the sun. Our field faces east so its right there in the morning.

The original motor mounts had no gussets (triangular bracing) they would crack one of the three legs and you couldnt see it but you could move the motor up and down a bit to find out it was broke without removing the cowl.

Mine is a tad bit off with this hotter motor so I trimmed it down kind of split the difference so it takes the same amount of up elevator to fly level as it takes down to fly inverted but eventually you just ignore the hands off thing and feed the plane what it needs.
