I had the same problem with my GY401. I had the sensor wire reversed at the RX. If your GY401 is the same as mine, the sensor wire has a red plug. You want the single (yellow) wire closest to the RX antenna. See photo below:

This was the best picture I could get without tearing the RX out of the heli. As you can see the sensor wire is towards the two antenna. I spent two weeks trying to figure it out. I emailed frineds at Heliproz and even got some advice and from Ray of Ray's Helitech. I had gone through so many things trying to figure it out. Then I noticed the sensor wire. I said to myself it can't be that simple. I switch how I pluged the sensor plug into the the RX, plugged in the battery and it was good to go. Yep, it was that simple. I hope this fixes your problem for you.
