I had a co-worker go to Todd Bennet's school. He seemed to do OK with it...and he had no real RC experience whatsoever.

I have been to Todd Bennet school and for me it was well worth it. Todd is a great instructor, very calm and very knowledgeable. I was stuck and could not seem to move on to the next level. Since the school I have been progressing very fast and getting allot of compliments at the field.

What!, Manny's not at the top of the short list.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

I signed up for one in the spring in the motor city. I sure hope an old dog can learn new tricks.

The Matt Botos / Todd Bennett school was worth every penny!

Matt did our class, we learned a lot and had a blast doing it flying the prototype N5 on a buddy box. Matt is a relentless school master!!!

+1 for Todd and Matt's school. Did it in September at the Brooks FunFly. I'm also considering going down to So. Cal and doing some private lessons once I have a chance to build my skills based on the two day school (which turned into three) at Brooks.

I'm not sure if he holds schools anymore but about 10 years ago my father and I went to Bob Harris's flight school in Virginia. It was a bed and breakfast. You could also bring the wife and/or girlfriends too because Bob's wife had Zekiah glass which is a stain glass school. It was an amazing week. I will never forget it.

Todd Bennett - Excellent school and reputation. Very patient, let's you work at your own comfortable pace with just the right little push once in a while.

In the school that we did with Matt Botos, we probably benefited most from his setup experience.

I was too nervous on the buddy box to actually learn anything significant, but I did manage to pick up rolling hurricanes and I can do them pretty good now.

I also learned something I should have known, stop flying the 5-15 maneuvers I know well and try new stuff constantly, this is the single key factor in progressing.

I, probably like most, just go stick bang it around and bullsh*t with the guys at the field and don't focus on learning new stuff, something I intend to change.

You're confusing me

If you don't need basic help, than what would you like to learn from a pro? Like how to do a chaos?

You can do that on the sim like on Phoenix you go spectate and you see what the other guy is doing with the transmitter, and it can be explained, recorded and watched over and over on any speed you want.

I'm not against learning from someone, just trying to see if there is any alternative to get what you need, without paying money for something which someone else would be glad to show you.

If you use Phoenix let me know, I'm online all night I might be able to help you

If you're already doing 3D and convinced you won't benefit from setup, you don't need a heli school, you need fuel to burn.
