i have the sport super combo. If you're not crashing a lot then the stock align servos are fine. My ds410's aren't holding up too well after a few crashes, so i'm gonna convert to hs 65mg's and see if they're better. But the gp750 gyro and ds420 combo work great in holding the tail for me. You can get the super combo then sell the cyclic servos if you wanted to. i bought mine off of ebay for 400 shipped and I used the bing.com cashback. This was a few months ago. PRices may have dropped since

I bought the sport combo and I am pleased with it. Can't beat the price for the kit.

I don't have the sport but I have an advanced Se V2. I can vouch for the HS65 MG's. I tried plastic geared servos and it was the biggest problem for me. Every time I stripped out the gears it was a major delay to pull out the servos and buy replacement gear kits.
I upgraded to the 65MG's and I never broke a servo again. This was my concern on those buying the sport.
Good luck deciding

I also got the new sport 450 but opted to get the package without the servos for the one fact I knew I should put in 65MG's. I don't plan on crashing alot but know I will. Also I was able to get a 401 gyro at a really good price on RR.

So long and thanks for all the fish!

Nice bird

I have 450 Sport and a V2...i think the sport rolls/flips faster than v2...it likes a high head speed or it wobbles, the V2 never wobbled once

i also had some issues with gp750/DS420 first flight the bird did a 180 which cost me $50 bucks, i rebuilt but the servo was dead...replaced with hitech tail servo but had a major 60-90 degree kickouts every 20-30 seconds... Replaced gp750 with a spare 401 and had no issues since i did...

Both my 450's have a 401 gyro and 65MG servos...V2 has a 430Xl the Sport has a 450M motor.. The 430Xl gets aprox 6-61/2 min the 450M aprox 5-51/2 minutes depending on style.. many will say GP750 is WAY WAY WAY better... the gp750 is half the size, i give it that but...i guess i ALWAYS get the BROKEN ones because it didn't do it for me on this bird anyway

Either way i love both 450's and fly them daily after work!
personally i would get the kit and go with a Futaba or better gyro along with better servos...either way you will not be disappointed! Its a blast to fly!

My two cents

Fly, Fly then Fly some more!!

pkfrizzlefry I am having the same tail kick out problems but it is a hit and miss. I can fly 3 packs and on the forth pack the bird will kick left.

Sounds like static build up from the belt, try spray some lube on there. Make sure you dont set the gyro to 760 pulse width! Easily done!

mine was never steady either...I flew 3 packs one day and the 4th it started...then next day it would do it from pack 1...the next day like 2nd pack.. When it did it while i was inverted i swear it scared the sh*t out of me cuz i was very close, concetrating and i almost crashed due to the kick out... thats when i swore a bit and shoved a 401 in it...

i played with it for aprox a month...I used silicone lube it didn't help me.. However i was thinking of trying my GP750 in another bird to see if the same thing happens.. others have had this issue as well..

I glad iam not the only one...GL tho it SUCKS to have this much issues when all you wanna do is FLY!!

I flew at least 12packs since i shoved a Fuataba 401 in it and i had nothing but a steady tail!

Align's QC should be improved. My GP750+DS420 in T250 cannot hold the tail very well. Serious hunting even tune down the gain to 10%! Later I found that the DS420 is malfunctioned and now It holds very well after I bought another DS420.

You also have to make sure you dont run the DS420 on 6v! The default BEC output was 6v on the 250 but they have changed it to 5.5v on the later kits and you get a warning sticker on the box.
