Ohh, new motors from Kontronik it seems!

Pyro 700-45 and 700-52 (with normal or long shafts)

Introducing the new Pyro700-X series! The Pyro700-X series of motors are heavily upgraded versions of their previous generation. New features include lower internal resistance, higher efficiency and upgraded ball bearings. The new Pyro motors provide an even higher power output with the same cool-running reputation that has earned them their seat at the top.

This motor is awesome on a Logo 600, T-Rex 700, or any .90 sized electric conversion!

**Mounting bolt spacing is 30mm.

Specs:
Motor KV: 450
Wattage: 300-4500W
Max Continues Current: 100A
Rm: 0.0037 Ohm
Motor Shaft: 6mm
Motor Diameter: 50.8mm
Motor Length: 61.5mm
Weight: 375g
Max RPM: 25,000
Pole Count: 10

Always something new to try...

And RH is the disti now-a-days it turns out.

Stay with the 30-12, I would do that at least, it has better datasheet.

thing is, spec's on these motors are same as 30-12 & 30-14, so I wonder...

It's hard to spend that kind of money when a Scorpion is half the cost. Look what their ESCs run though. I guess you pay a lot for that Kontronik name. No doubt they are good quality but for me the bang for the buck just isn't there, but if you've got the extra money burning a whole in your pocket.......go for it!

Did your keyboard come with that big bottle of Haterade?

How about the planetary gear sets Kontronik just released. What are they intended to be used for?

Only thing i don't like about the scorps is the heat.

If the pyro is as powerful in flight as a scorp but less heat and better efficiency then I would like it (not sure if thats possible? LOL)

Ah well i will sit tight

I can handle a little heat if it does not seem to effect performance. A little less heat is not worth double the money for me. A couple percent better efficiency is not worth twice the price. At least not to me anyway.
