Guys,

For those of you periodically annoyed like me by the SSZ-IV drag insert's propensity for loosening up on the plastic 2T spacers AND who don't want to upgrade to the SSZ-V inserts and spacers, Loctite 638 is showing early promise for me in fixturing the inserts into the grips and thus preventing turning and loosening. If you try this, either use a bit of loctite primer or set the grips in a 150D or cooler oven overnight to make certain the loctite cures. The shiny metal inserts and anodized grips don't exactly fulfill the need for an "active metal" surface to activate the loctite in the absence of primer or gentle heat.

FWIW,

Your tip about the zap a dap a goo on the carbon turbulence boom to stop it slipping forward has worked a treat. Lot's of flights up now and boom it rock solid. I had to take the boom out once a while back and it's no hassle to peel the zap a dap a goo off.
