Well - I had my first night flight tonight and really enjoyed it. Did forward and backward flips and rolls to get a feel for things and found it easier than I expected. It's a different set of challenges - no sunlight so no glare or need for sunspecs, a headtorch to get things sorted before and after the flight, a very clear feedback of attitude with the night blades and glowropes. To summarise - I can't wait to do it again.

It's very fun, I did my first night flying at the beginning of summer. My buddy let me fly his night Synergy set up. I had always wanted to do it, but never committed to getting the stuff.

Now that I have had a tasted of it, next summer I will have a dedicated ship, I hope.

Chris, that is one good buddy giving you a go of a Synergy night ship. Mines is Trex 600 and rigged it fairly cheaply. I built my own night blades following posts telling you how. Have fun when you get your own one.
Cheers.

Yeah,

My buddy Jeff and I are devoted Synergy guys here in the Northwest. We both have tried different set ups on our helicopters and compare them at funflys.

I also built night blades from other people post on the forums. There are pics in my gallery.

Your night flying 600 looks good in your gallery.

Yes Chris, I read your posts as well as some others. It's great that we can build decent night blades from great day blades. I enjoyed watching your link to Matt flying your blades - what a coup!

Oh, thanks. It was fun watching Matt have a go at them. I have them setting in a box now on my shelf now. My first night blades stuffed by Matt Botos, it was great.

I hope you enjoy your night flying.

I hope to get a night bird built this winter.

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

I was out tonight and got disorientated a couple of times - no biggy but wondered if any of you have experienced that ..... first time out no problems so how come this time? All I can put it down to is small cheap glowsticks on the skids so I'm going to use better ones from now on.
