hello everyone.... I just bought a aeoulus 50. I will be running align 610 swash servos, inertia gyro driving align 650 servo, spectrum 7100R receiver, thundertiger redline 50 w/ os 50 carb mod and high flo pipe.
I should have it all mid next week.. Ill post pictures when it comes in and build.

I find the harder I "throw down" at the field... the more peices i have to pick up.

I am really considering this for my next heli. It would be my first nitro. I'm still kind of torn between this one and the Frenzy. I really like the way the Aeolus looks and they seem to fly really nice. I was thinking of pretty much the same set up as you but with a TT 53H. Not sure yet though.

Did your keyboard come with that big bottle of Haterade?

hey, id say go for it. that novaRossi I had at JAX is really makeing insane power now. John's Aeolus was rippin it up with the redline 53. even without the OS carb mod the Redline puts out some serious power.

I don't think that you will be disappointed with your purchase. Can't wait to see your photos. Hope you have fun with your build as I did.

I am goning to do a mod from the start... I have 2 others fly this mod. They take the washout, and grind off the brass collar, to allow the head to pull 15deg of pitch both positive and negative. has anyone else done this. Is there anything else I should know about this heli?

I think I'll end up going with the .53 Redline. The NovaRossi is really sweet but is more money than I want to spend. The Redline seems to be a good bang for the buck motor and you are right it was really flying nice in John's Aeolus. Seeing his fly kind of sold me on it. I'll have to talk to Bobby and see if they got a Frenzy flying yet but I'm really leaning toward the Aeolus. Are you gonna have yours up and flying in time for Mulberry?

Hey, I know bobby built a frenzy, but i havent heard anything on it. I talk to him a few times a week. I keep asking but he has been waiting for something for it. Mine will be ready hopefully by this weekend. I hopefully will have it some time this week. You are welcome to try it if you want to. Bobby was gonna let me try his but we never got to it. Are you going to be in Mullberry.. I will be there all day fri sat and sun. I live 20 minutes away.

Yeah I'm planning on being there Fri and Sat. That's cool you are so close. I'm about 2 hrs away according to my GPS. I'm gonna try and get up there as early as I can on Fri. Hopefully the wind will be a little nicer than it was in Jax. I want to get a lot more flying done than I did last time. I'll be looking forward to seeing that Aeolus

the wind is typically good here out of the last year I don't think the wind has been strong enough to scare me off. I usually fly at another fly field about 20 minutes away from the mulberry one. but the weather is always about the same. I cant wait for mullberry. Ive been practicing 4 point tictocs, and inverted autos.... (i rotate out of inverted at about 100 feet right now. always trying to get lower hehehehe).

aeolus

you will love this ship!!! DO not buy a frenzy! you cannot compare the quality and performance of this aeolus to the frenzy. for i have owned a frenzy and most of all the 50's out there for the past almost 5 years..the frenzy will take a lot of raptor parts/upgrades to make it right and it still will not hold up to this aeolus. p.s will be posting videos of my aeolus with novarossi 57 maybe by this weekend...

hi

i had a v2,very cheap made parts, took alot more money to even sorta make it right 250$ heli turns into a 350-400 heli.. The AEOLUS NEEDS NO UPGRADES!! parts fit perfect and the heli performs great, flys solid and fast!!the frame(2mm carbon fiber ) design is an upgrade from the trex 600. i have had no problems with any of the bearings, the landing gear is very strong! i Have so much fun flying my aeolus With the nova .57 in it that my trex 700 sits around alot

You guys have got me really jonesing for one now. Does anyone know the difference between the CF and the GF? http://www.ahf-usa.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=1 If it's just the frame material I actually prefer G10 and it's $100 cheaper. Anyone know?

The GF kit has belt driven tail, all plastic head.

THe CF version has metal main blade grips, a metal flybar cage, carbon frames, and a torque tube tail with metal tail box.

The website needs some work in descriptive content.
Hope this helps you...

Thanks, that's kind of what I figured. I was hoping it was just the frames though. It's worth it to get the CF since that's the case.
