The Radikal has been doing just great until it decided to shut down, not start, all of this kind of intermittent.

The problem was that the spark plug cap was not secure on the plug, it takes a ridiculous amount of force to get it to snap into position,once that is accomplished every thing is fine.

What kind of reliability record does the EI system have? I gather it is a Zenoah brand EI? What battery supply set up do you have?

It is a Zenoah system running on a 2700mah 4.8 volt system, I dont have a clue as to its reliability.

are you happy overall with the performance. Mine is ordered and sitting in customs. I put this in another post but will ask again. Will align 610 or 620 for cyclic and a 650 with spartan be good on this gasser or do you need different to handle vibration. I ordered the reg body with the hd head. I am going to try to start it with my regular hex head starter and 12v battery.

Vibration is very minimal, reg 12V starter is just fine.

I have made arrangements for Video to be taken at the Mulberry event, we plan on doing a series to compare the stock G-20 with the Hanson version.

My take on the Stock G-20 is that it produces as much usable power as the 231, my machine weight is just 10 pounds with full fuel and that will put you at 20 min. flight time.

are you comparing a stock g-20 to a Hanson 231? or a hanson g-20 ???
will the 231 fit in the radikal?

bec123 that the servos that I put in my Radikal, all except the tail servo, oput a 251 futaba on the tail, I have not flown it yet, putting it togeather now, will fly it at Sulpher, La.(FallFest) this coming weekend. Bobby

This one seems to be breaking in very typical, very smooth, this morning doing flips, etc.

Engine temp totaly normal ( basicly the same as all of my other Zenoah engines )headspeed 2000 with 620 blades.

4500 ft.

What are you flying now and what blades work well, I would think that would make sense, however we are at sea level but with 95 degree temps and high humidity the density altitude gets on up there also.I have the LT version.

Thanks Bro, I'm still flying a Hawk with 550's. Just getting all the info I can before buying the Radikal!!! I know the HD version has a different pinon gear....I think it's a 16 tooth? Your 2000 head speed sounds perfect!!! We can't wait to see the video's
