I've coverted my flybar paddles on my T-Rex 600 from the Align Carbonfiber paddles to the KBDD neon Yellow paddles to give the heli more color for visibility. The problem is that the KBDD paddles do not srew onto the flybar as far as the Align did so the overall lenght of the fly & paddles is longer! Now I know this has to have an effect on the flight charicteristics of the heli and I'm thinking that this change will only make the heli just ever so slightly more stable and probably slow down the cyclic functions ever so slightly. Am I correct in my thinking? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

if your new paddles are lighter or the same weight as your old paddles then it should be more responsive

Ok, but what if they're about the same? They're alittle longer and weigh about the same, and overall the flybar and paddles are about 20mm longer.

I increased the span on my flybar on my Logo 10 by using a Trex 600 flybar. My experience with it was that it was more stable when you put it in a hover, but when you wanted to roll it, it was faster in the roll.

Ive always been of the understanding that the longer the flybar, the more stable and also more responsive the heli is.
I think the reason we dont have flybars which are twice as long as the length of the main blades is down to practicality as it would bend too easy.

Ok, can anyone give the overall lenght of their fly & paddle on one side of the flybar cage, from the outer most end of the flybar cage to the outer most end of the paddle?

My 600 is 25 cm from the cage to the end of the paddle with the stock plastic paddles, I would just fly it and see what its like its not going to make much difference, the weight of the paddles will make the greatest difference.

My thinking is that the cyclic will speed up. Let us know how it turns out.
