Nope. Why? If there is a feature you would like, check out the 14MZ forum and post there. Futaba is always looking for user input. Whether they use it or not is another question.

www.14mz.com

Also has 12 channel stuff here.

Well I have a 12Z, was thinking about getting a 14, but didn't want to yet if I get wind of a new one coming out...

I went from the 14MZ to the 12Z. The 12Z is more comfortable due to its size and has all of the same features. Both are 12+2 channel radios. The only benefit the 14 brings for an extra $800 is a color touch screen (which is very cool) and two more trim buttons. It's a *big* radio.

I would buy a new 14MZ if it were the size of the 12Z, maybe a bit thinner (front to back).

The only two gripes I have about the 12Z is that there is no backlite and the screen needs to be recessed so it doesn't get scratched. Actually, I think it needs to be recessed *glass*.

So your 14 screen cover never scratched? I love the backlit screen.
The 14 is physically larger and heavier? I have a chance to get a new one for $1760 shipped...paid $1240 shipped for my 12Z. That's still a big difference, but I'm contemplating it...

The 14's screen is recessed enough to where it didn't get scratched as easily, I actually can't remember it ever being scratched and I had it for over a year. I think the quality of the touchscreen also helped with resisting scratches.

If you've never held one, do that before you buy, it was uncomfortable for me to fly "thumbs", it's big, and heavy, but it may work for you.

The 12z with a glass screen cover would be *perfect*!!!

I have this for my 14MZ. Best investment you can make to prevent scratching. I don't have any issues with it interfering with the touch screen on the 14MZ. (even have similar items for camera, cell phone, ipod)
