Well I can get the TT53 w/pipe for about $225. The old OS 50 w/muscle pipe for about $10 less or the new OS 55HZ without pipe for $15 more. Not sure which to get. The TT50 in it now just doesn't have enough power. It bogs badly in repeated flips. The new OS 55HZ would be my choice if money was no problem. Do you think it has that much more power than the TT53 or is the "power of a 60" just marketing? I have the TT53 in my Titan SE and love it. I guess I could use my Raptor 50 pipe on the OS 55HZ till I can save up enough for a new pipe if you guys think the OS 55HZ is the right choice. These latest engines OS and YS just cost too much.

I wanna see the OS 55 perform live , because ... I saw a TT53 in a new rappy se a couple weeks ago and this thing made angry power . Never have I witnessed a nitro heli so violent in the air , and i've seen a bunch at ircha . I'm sure it was the mod the guy did to the motor that made the difference .

If you're not living on the edge you're just taking up space !

I wanna see the OS 55 perform live ,

go to any 3d heli site, and watch Bert K. fly a trex700 and thats excactly what it looks like to see a trex600 with an OS55 in it fly.
I saw him fly one at the SRC funfly, and I thought he was flying a 700 until I caught a glimps of the side of the canopy, that said trex600 on it, and I couldnt believe it. I absolutly thought it was some kind of a trick they were playing on us, and had changed the lettering on the side of the canopy, but it was no joke, that engine performs as advertised. so much, that I just installed one in my 600 today. cant wait until tomorrow, after the first 5 or 6 tanks. yeeeeehaaaawwww!!

I was hoping for more people to go with the TT53. Thanks for your reply. I just can't help wonder if the performance of the OS 55HZ is worth $125 over the TT53.

Thanks to the people who have seen the engines in person for the commits. Please keep them coming!

I had nothing but problems with my 53. Two rounds of sticking carbs (yes newest carb), all kinds of tuning hell and what shims to use for fuel. Bah! I say OS55HZ. Installed mine already and very pleased. Runs and sounds great. Simple tuning and tons of power.

I've heard it's hit & miss with the 53. Sometimes you get a good one, but most of the time you don't. It seems it's always been that way for the TT's...

go os 55hz and the os powerboost pipe and you cant go wrong a lil extra money in the beginning will save you more in the end the 55hz from what i can tell is totally different than the os 55 only thing thats the same is the connecting rod even the rear bearing looks alot more dependable

Seriously? I've never witnessed what the OS55 sound like so I cant comment on that however, I can always separate a 90 over a 50 by just how the motor sounds (like comparing a two stroke to a four stroke engine)and the bite the 690s/710s make. I've been to several FunFlys and I dont even have to be within visual range to know its a 90. Unless I misunderstood and your speaking power wise. But again, you mentioned that the canopy was the only giveaway. I'm just curious what you meant exactly because I'd really like to see the OS55 in action because the videos just doesn't do any justice to me. I think you need to catch your breath bud cause nothing compares to a BigBlock. Let us know how your flight went and how it compares with your 700.

Noooo! Bad choice. Hard to tune, very poor transitons and weak. Try the MP5SB. It smoked the Hatori in our test comparisons and it costs a lot less. The standard MP5 and Outrage pipes also worked well with the 55.
