Probably 9.5-10 would have been perfect, but what you have will still work fine. It's kind of hard to find exactly the right distance on factory horns. I have the stock head/Mikado upgrade running 9.5 out(using a drill guide and wheels) and the coll. bar is at +-13, but it flies VERY well.

LOL, yeah, Gimbal is a winner for sure....

He'll figure it out someday, I just hope it won't be too late for him. Devil works in crazy ways and right now he is working thru Gimbal.

Flew it on Saturday and felt really smooth. I was chasing the engine needles as it would lean out in flight. I think that my throttle servo is too slow to keep up with the collective because during tic tocs the engine would get hot. You could do collective pumps and the engine throttle just couldn't keep up.

I am changing out the servo for a faster one and will give it another try. Also, I did my trim flight with about 8mph winds and I don't think I got a good one because during piro's the heli would drift pretty bad. I will try it again tomorrow and let you know how it goes!!!

Nice (flying smooth part )!

Better to not do a trimflight at all then doing one in high wind.

So just clear the autotrim values (latest software, clear button), and fly as normal until you have dead calm weather.

Hey! I thought since you now have the electronic stablization you would mow the lawn with your heli...kill two birds with one stone,
and get some good low inverted practice in!!!

How the hell are you guys getting +- 12 degrees at 80%colective.
I am using the mikado head and have the servo balls at 10.5mm from centre but only getting about +-10 and 9.5 on cyclic. My cyclic ring is at60 and cyclic gain is 66.

Bring your ball links on your servo horns out to about 12mm from center, see if that gets you up to +-12.
