I fought with this thing for 6 hours straight yesterday and could not get the interaction out from a Xcell extreme. I tried all the mixes, plus, minus this way that way, reverse. I have a 9ZWC2, so I'm used to programming these and actually like it, but only when it does it right. I was using a Futaba 7C 2.4 with absolutely no problems, but switched for more model memory and more channels and functions. I called futaba service and he was kinda helpful but only told me everything I tried. Then I tried the 8 channel receiver that came with the radio, I had a 7 ch. in it already, same thing. But when I programmed for the 8ch.(it has 2 modes, 1 for 7ch and 1 for 8ch), it offered me to reset. I did and the interaction was gone. So I put the 7ch back in, no more interaction. I wasn't able to get full pitch w/o all kinds of binding and now, no binding, full pitch. The only thing I can figure is when I reset, the receiver type(it also reset ALL my others setting too) and I turned it off, it perhaps rebooted. Aren't these like some kind of computer programs for rc radios? Anyway I was thinking of sending it back to tower, but it's working. Also make sure that you don't set trims from the digital trims on front, because when you switch to idle up. it doesn't hold the trim for the idleups, adjust trim from subtrim menu. It's different from the C style radios for sure. Thanks for reading a long post but it needs it, see ya. Randy

Hi Randy ! sorry to hear of your frustrations. I had similar thoughts when i got my 12z. it just takes time to get used to the new stuff but is worth it in the end. i went from a 9z as you did to the 12z and it was frustrating then and still is now on occasions but i love my radio. As far as your trims go to pg 57 of the manual and you can combine you trims in the function menu. (http://manuals.hobbico.com/fut/8fg-2_4ghz-manual.pdf) Hang in there you will love it in the end.

Tom

ps also post questions in the Futaba column and you will find the answers .

groran, the 8fg has a menu for the trims to adjust if you want to have them stay the same in all flight modes, look for the T1 to T4 menu, you can change each trim seperately for flight condition so they will stay the same or if you like,to have to retrim in each flight condition, or any combo you wish, so you do not have to go to your subtrims.
