My Posts This: Topic Forum | Crashed my Raptor 50 Titan last Sunday, knife-edged in with 2000 head speed. Feathering shaft looked like one of those "curvy road ahead" signs. Pictures are in the Crashed Forum.
Anyway, during the rebuild I installed new grips, head, feathering shaft, and dampers. The bearings felt good when rotating them by hand and the thrust bearings felt good when compressing them by hand and rotating.
But with everything installed and tightened down, both grips are "notchy" when turning them. I've ordered all six bearings, but was wondering which of these bearings typically cause this after crashing? My train of thought is that the outer bearings took such a side load that they were damaged. But you can't tell this when inspecting them.
BTW, yes I installed the thrust bearings correctly and all washers as per the manual, just like it was before the crash.

you installed all the washers the thrust bearings are probably whats causing it.
