divide the main gear count by the pinion gear count, and that's your ratio.

its 8.0 it should be listed in the manual, and on horizon hobby.

for an OS HZ I would run 2,000 for all out 3D and 1900-1950 for sport/3D. 2,000 rpm on the head with this will give you the same motor RPM as 1950 on the trex 700.

Guys, do you need to fill the one-way bearing with oil or transmission fluid before inserting the shaft collar? The instructions seem to suggest only oiline the collar and the washer, but in my Min Air helis, the instructions usually suggest to fill the one-way with oil. Any thoughts? What did you guys do?

Thanks,

Ben

You should grease the freewheel with teflon grease. So it runs smoother and lasts longer. I would also do that on all gears, but only a little, because if you put too much on them, the grease splatters out to every part near the gears. Same effect as putting a piece of warm butter into an open mixer...

Well first time ever I had a mishap on the first flight. Still unsure of what happened but it did piro on the ground while light on the skids. Everyone including myself is thinking the gyro was reversed, but I checked and dbl checked and so forth and swear everything was moving in the right direction. But anyway, the damage was a autorotaion gear, and a pitch slider, and tail blades. The ground was uneven so what happened was the vert fin bent enough to get into the path of the tail blades and whamo, end of story. Time to spend 15 bucks fixing it

well I have everything together and installing the radio equipment now, I had a couple of questions. The CA retainers that go on each end of the pins that hold the pitch arms to the pitch slider, do you add a drop of "CA" on each to help prevent them from coming off? 2nd I put a longer bolt with a lock nut through each end of the torque tube instead of two on each end because one screw stripped without and effort. Hope this want hurt anything but to me it seems like a better way to do it.
Last I dont ever use a ball resizing tool, but this one mentioned it a couple of times is this going to hurt anything with these links ends? Its my 1st JR so there is a little learning curve here.

Thanks its a great heli, the build was fun and easy I like the lay out, hope it flies like I want.

you don't need CA on those retainer clips on the pitch arms, they are pretty good at not coming off. That is as long as you put them on in the correct direction as shown in the manual. As for the longer bolts with the lock nut, I think the only concern would be a balance issue but I can't see that being too big of an issue, just something to keep in mind if you have any vibration issues. I had the same thing happen to me also, I went the expensive route and just ordered the new end caps to try again.

Guys, we are 3 people currently owning 90SG's, One is Spacey, a well known member here, then Hylton, and myself are in the process of assembling ours.

We have taken the time to make a Vibe 90 SG build thread on a South African Forum.
