After reading countless threads and obsessing for the last few weeks I just ordered the first part for my new Logo 600, an Xera 4030 2.5Y 560kv! Will be placing the BIG order from RH as soon as 600's are back in stock. I'm super excited about this heli, still trying to decide if I'm going to build it up as a 700 from day one or if I'm going to start with Edge 603's and stretch it later... I'll post pics when the build begins.

Logo 600 Vbar
Xera 4030 2.5Y 560kv
10s 5000Mah Turnigy
Jive 80 HV + heatsink (or should I play it safe and go with a 120hv?)
Vbar 4.0 + Bluetooth
Edge Flybarless 603's + 95mm tails
BLS 251 on tail
Align 510 on cyclic
Mod 1 Pinion and Spur
AR7600

If anyone has any suggestions or sees any problems please let me know. This will be my first Logo.

Well... I was trying to keep this project on a "budget" ha. What don't you like about the Aligns other then the fact they say Align on them? They're fast and affordable, I've heard they're power hungry and don't center as well as the futabas, but will I really notice a difference?

I have the Align 610 servos on my Vibe and they work flawlessly.

I too am going to be building a 600 on a budget and plan to use the same servos as I will be on a tight budget and working with what I have left over from another heli. I think I will be going with 10S as nobody can really give me feedback on an 8S.

Logo600
Scorpion HK-4035-500
Kontronik Jazz 55-10-32
10S 4500 mAh
Align 610 Cyclic
LogicTech 6100
RotorTech 610MB
Mod 1 14T

I only need one!

yeah that's what I thought. I have the DS510's in my rex500 and they've been pretty good. The gears strip very easily but this seems to be a problem isolated to their 500 series servos so I'm willing to give the 610's a try. The 650 looks interesting, and I'm tempted, I guess we'll just see how long it takes to get the BLS 251's in stock.

I have never used the ds610's but one thing I noticed about them is they are extremely noisy! That scares me a bit for whatever reason.

I see the 610's are about $68/each. The BLS451's are easily found for $90 and for the $60 total difference in price I personally would go for the Futaba. I believe Mikado actually recommends them for use with the vbar.

Just my opinion.

Looks like a solid setup MTB. The 80HV will be fine. 510s will work fine too, but what's $60 to have a better centering servo?

The 5000mah batteries are going to be on the heavier side. You may have CG issues unless you add some weight to the tail.

Nice budget bird BTW

If you do run those align cyclics, DO make sure to run a slave wire from the BEC, that is a must, those are extremely high amp draw servos. Secondly unless you've purchased you should consider the weight of those turnigy packs, there is no question you WILL have CG issues with those large MAH packs, gurantee it actually.

if the turnigy 5000's are to heavy what mah would you recommend? 4000? I was really hoping to use hobbycity packs. I might pick up some hyperion packs later down the road, but for now i'm going with the cheap stuff.

The 30c hobby city packs aren't that far behind the hyperions, you'll still get excellent performance. Just not the same number of cycles.
4000 mah packs like these will be fine:

Just placed the order, I'm super excited! Nothing like putting the hurt on the old credit card to get your heart really pumpin! Decided to try out a DS650 on the tail, flame away but this servo looks pretty damn good on paper and is a one hell of a deal, if I run into problems I'll just pull it off for another project and pick up a BLS 251.

growmaster4 is correct. I have some Align 510s from my T-Rex 500 ESP kit (RIP); those are mini-sized servos that won't fit in the 600 frame. They would be fine in a Logo 400 from a size/fit and torque perspective, but no chance they'll work in a 600.

I agree with Big Fil -- the $60 difference for better cyclic servos is negligible on this bird.

Also let us know how the Align 650 works out on the tail. I just bought one for my Logo 400 to try out (to replace the JR 8900G that didn't survive a monster crash.) And I agree that Align 650 Specs look great on paper, especially at $75... but time will tell how they work, and how long they last.

Congrats on getting that 600 -- it was my first Logo too. I got it in June of this year, and now I have 2 more Logos (total of 3 so far). You're gonna love it.

From what i read, the stock 250 and 500 align servos do not work well flybarless so if thats any indication on the larger align servos?

A big box showed up today from Readyheli, damn those guys are fast! After reading a few posts over on HF I decided to pony up and go for the BLS setup after all, so the align servos are headed back to RH. Seems that some people have had brownout problems with the DS610's even with Jive BEC's. Can't wait to start building, now I just need to wait for my motor from Xera and batteries from the other side of the world...

All Done!

Finished up the 600 yesterday, well I still need to finish setting up the radio and double check my vbar settings, but construction is complete. Got a bit OCD on the wiring job, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Setting it all up took all day, but it should be very easy to work on, I can split the mainframe in half and leave all the wires installed.

I am a bit concerned because I was able to get the radio to brown out on the bench with cyclic pumps?!?!?!?!?! Granted I was moving the sick as fast as humanly possible but am still a bit freaked out. I'm going to experiment with some factors and see if the brownouts continue. I was under the impression that the Jive BEC was more than up to the task... A big part of my choice to get the Jive was to avoid using a separate BEC or regulator + Rx pack.

Now I'm just waiting on my batteries from China.

Final build:
Xera 4030 Y2.5 560kv motor + 12t mod1
Jive 80+ Hv with heatsink and fan (way overkill but thought I'd try it)
Vbar 4.0 + Bluetooth dongle
BLS 251 on tail
8717 on cyclic
AR7600 Rx
Edge 603's
belt tensioner and boom have been grounded to the motor mount

Very nice indeed

How heavy did it end up, any idea ?
The 10s hyperion g3vx 4200 are 1140g and the 3300 are 930g. Out of these two, which one would u guys use on a similar logo ?
