I put 5 flights on it with no problem at 7 volts. I talked to someone on here that said they have had no problems with the 7v setup but would not go over that.

I wonder if anyone has tried running a high voltage servo (DS610 or 8717) on the GV1 with a fully charged lipo at 8volts? I don't want to put a regulator between the GV1 and rec'r if I don't have to.

Well I am running all 8717's/GV1 with the GY520/bls251 combo on an arizona regulator. It puts out 5v to the gyro and tail and then you can run whatever voltage you want on the rest. The manual says the GV1 is only rated up to 6v but it appears you can run more, how much more is the question though. Feel free to be the guinea pig im up to 7v push it and see what happens

i would be hitting the GV1 with 8 volts on a fully charged lipo, and I know the align DS610 behind the GV1 can handle 8volts;. But I'm still not sure if the GV1 can run at 8volts... Not ready to be the guinea pig yet.
