OK, I know that when you insert a new memory card into a 12Z it is supposed show you that it is formatting it. However when I plug a new CF card in to my 12Z it simply says that the card is found an its searching for files.

At this point everything is OK. I can save models to the card and recall them if I need to. But when I try to update the software, I follow the step-by-step procedure as Futaba recommends it simply says that the file is not found. WTF???

I don't know what I'm doing wrong here, and I don't want to send it in to Futaba service as there is really nothing wrong with the radio, other than it is on an old software version and I want to update it so I can use my TM14 module.

When you put the file onto the CF card are they in a folder? If so it may not be able to find them.

I've tried it in and out of the folder and it still says file not found.

Not sure which instructions you are following, but I used the info on a site that rhymes with Heli Squeak, and it worked fine. Did you remember to move the little slide switch?
Apart from that, the files have to be in the correctly named folder. Also make sure the battery is well charged.

I was finally able to get 1.3.2 installed. Now I'm having issues with 1.6, but I think I can solve that.

Hi,

I have a 12ZH and have no idea that version of software is in the system. Have looked in the manual for the method for checking the software version no help? Any body out there that can help with information on how to check software version.
