Heli Snobs

Doesn't matter if it is cloned engines or helis or planes, discount stuff is discount stuff.

Some peeps are snobs and turn up thier noses at it no matter what it is. It's laughable.

Buy cheap , buy twice applies only if you expect greatness from cheap. And YES, this applies to Align as well.

My DA-50's are 6 , 5, and 4 years old and still running strong and still get support from DA. My DL-50 lasted 1 season and done. But I expected it not to last, and treated it as such.

The same applies to the case of HK450s I have. ....I know they wont last, but BOY, am I going to whip them silly and not give a care.

JUST like the DL-50.

Don't get the tip of your noses sunburned by keeping them turned up. Just watch us have fun whipping the cheap whipping boys......something you won't do with your bling machine hangar queen. LOL ,,,,,throwing down.

Why Hover a Yak, when a Heli does it better?

this isnt about turning your nose up. ive been flying clone parts for 2 years.

this is about safety however. you cannot compare a 450 to a 50 or 90 sized heli when it comes to safety.

at this point its all speculative until we see what were working with..

I can see the post from noobs now """hey i just got the 90 nitro, whats the cheapest servos i can run? and can i run these cheap fg blades at 2500rpm? and how does the 90N do with a 401 clone gyro?"""

I can't beleave that guy said that,
If you didn't crash your 600e/n your bearings would be toast before the season is over and there would be alot of slop as well.
at least from my experience
sure they fly great when new just don't expect them to last as long as other brands.

Or if you want to make it last longer and you don't crash often just replace the bearings with quality ones

just wait till a spindle bolt breaks and sends a 700mm blade flying towards your face... there's cheap and then there's stupid these will probably fall in the stupid category same reason you wouldn't buy a 10$ climbing harness ...ever.. or a 30 dollar parachute? or a 1$ rope to climb mt Everest? your lives at stake not mine i will stay FARRRR clear of those things

so were gonna have a bunch of poor quality not put to together right and untrained pilots flying these?

I'd have to say that even the highest quality of helicopters under the same circumstances would be just as dangerous.

Point well taken.

The danger IS in the complete noob buying one because they are finally in his price range and hurting himself or someone else because he used abject junk to fly it and/or didn't take the time to sort out the imperfections in the clone.

Point well taken.

Hopefully noobs who ask questions here won't get the cold shoulder from the keyboard experts, simply because they bought a clone.

How long did you live in China? You have no idea if there is regulation there regarding RC. Further, there isn't a whole lot of regulation here either. (AMA insurance aside)

No, but I am serious. Sorry, saw your location as Las Vegas, assumed you didn't live in China.

Seriously though, are we all really that concerned with them selling nitros? Why not get worked up about anything else they sell? Dangerous exploding lipos, electric heli parts and kits that are going to explode and kill people? Let the end user figure out what there going to do. No need to get worked up over this.

Almost all lipos are made in china except for a company in Korea. All these RC battery companies get their cells from the same few handful of factories in the world. Also just because something says made in Taiwan or Japan doesnt mean its actually made there, alot of the parts are sub-contracted to factories in china. I have a business that deals with China manufacturing as well so I know first hand. The difference with these places is a larger more popular company will have a quality control outfit overseeing what is coming out of their china orders and will pay a little more for quality materials. China can produce a quality product, but you have to pay for it. These small cheap companies just want the absolute cheapest as possible product with no care of the outcome to make a quick buck, thats were the problem is. This hobby has had its bad press from being dangerous, now what will become of it with larger more damaging possibilities. Let the people decide?, ATC's became illegal to sell after 1986 because of their dangers of consumers inexperienced and stupidity deaths. Now these poorly made much larger helis that anyone can afford will do great for our hobby
