Specifically, there are couple of nuts and washers left over, and more importantly, two 20mm length hex screws (I think they're 20mm length, maybe a little longer).

These screws are black, and have an unthreaded collar area that's about 5 to 7mm long. I looked through the instructions and couldn't find where they go. And the thing is, in addition to having these two extra screws, I'm missing the two 3x12mm hex screws that are used to fasten the canopy. I can't imagine that I used the 3x12mm screws in places where these longer, collared screws were intended to be used.

Is it normal to find a couple of screws missing, and to have a couple of extra screws? It seems plausible to me because I've also got a few other small spare parts. I just would never have expected to be missing two screws and having two surplus screws.

no, this is not at all normal.

you should have ten of those long bolts, two in the front that hold the electronics tray on, two that hold the engine mount, two that hold the T arms on, and four that clamp the tail boom.

You should have two bolts and two lever spacers left over. If you set up your Vibe with 120, the left over bolts should be 28mm; likewise, if you set up for 140 the remaining bolts should be 35mm.

Check page 14 of the manual.

No spare parts

Other than those for the 120 v. 140 swash set up, as already noted.

This is a High parts count build, not an easy task. I would recommend going over the whole heli, again.

The two bolts I have left over are the two 3x28mm bolts. There are no other screws left over, other than those that are required to install the servos. So, I'm missing two 3x12mm bolts (which would be used to fasten the canopy) as well as the washers that would be used with these bolts. Since I did not lose any parts, and since I do not have any other 'extra' bolts left over, there is no possibility that I used these 3x12mm bolts somewhere the weren't intended. Actually, my kit was short by a total of 5 washers and two bolts. No big deal, really. I just wanted to make sure that I didn't build the heli incorrectly anywhere.

the two bolts you have left over are the bolts used when building 140ccpm swash. so that is normal, as for the missing bolts I am sure they were in the kit somewhere it is not at all like them to leave somthing out.

Naah. I'm positive that I didn't lose any screws or washers. I kept everything together. I built the heli seated at a well-lit table. I was careful to consolidate screws/bolts into fewer bags whenever possible. Still, it's really ok. I had some small washers I could use instead of the give JR washers missing. And as for the 3x12mm canopy screws, I'm sure I can pick a couple of them up somewhere.

Mistakes happen!

Some Fastenal have them but you may have to buy 100 of them because they wont brake a bag open for just one or two. I bought all my screws and alien head bolt from them. they have the best price that I found.
