Very nice flying!!!
Very impressive holding too!
Do you have any chinese weights or any mod at all on that heli???

After reading so much about everybody's different performance and for some people this or that servo is not good while for others is the best option I got to the conclusion that it can't be this or that servo it has to be more a setup issue or they are all built in a way that there are not two alike.
I remember reading that the DS420 was a NO WAY and if you have one in yours and it holds like that then is not a servo issue. Unless (as I said) Align components are hand maid to a point that there are not two (servos, helis, or gyros) that perform at the same level.
What I noticed in my heli was that one day was flying ok the next one it was doing weird stuff.
We'll see. I know that not long ago a couple of Align Pro pilots (o semi) got invited here by one of the flying groups (the wealthy ones ) Hopefully if they come again and don't miss them this time they can help out checking the setup and fine tune it.

Just the carbon tail blades although there was no noticable difference from the stock plastic ones. I have the servo arm at 5.5mm from the center and run around 30% gain in my DX7 if it helps anyone.

If your 250 has a wag its either down to 2 things:

1. Your tail mechanics are not smooth and free.

2. Your gyro gain is too high.

A V-curve in your throttle or running too much collective or both will throw your tail about during 3D moves. You need 100% flat throttle and no more than +/-11 degrees collective.

I agree with above post. all of this is very true and more noticable on a smaller helicopter

Thanks for the tips.
I rebuilt all the heli and the tail is smooth as a baby butt.
Curves are flat 85% on IDL1 and 100% in IDL2.
The wag occurres after a piro at stop. But I think is better now I'll need to check but I won't be able now until the end of the month.
I'll make sure I re read all these tips then before flying to refresh the situation.

I don't know who said it but, squeezing the ball links from the tail servo to tail bell crank did it for me. thankx.

Sounds like you have it Dialed in now. That little shake could be just the Gyro or the foam pad could be getting loose. But mechanicly I say your good. At least up till your next crash,Just a vicious circle

If it sets off an uncontrolable wag after a piro stop then the gain is still too high. If it is just a quick bouncing wag then that is the best you are going to get and almost all 250's will do this. Some gyros have adjustable piro stop speeds to help with this though.

How about using a Hitec HSG-5084 on the tail? It's smaller than the 9257 and the 3500, and it has metal gears.

Is there any other alternative to the stock plastic pitch slider? I bought a MicroHeli pitch slider that had two arms on it (on top and bottom), but it wouldn't fit over the t/r shaft so I had to send it back. What else is out there?
