Hi guys
I'm almost finished a Funkey Longranger with a T-rex 600e inside.
I'm worried that the flybar is going to impact the scale exhaust/top of fuse so I'm considering going for a flybarless setup .Are the Gaui 3-axis gyros any good , which gyro should i get ?
Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

dont get a Gaui
A Skookum will work very well, AND be trouble free and easy to deal with.
Its only 2 axis, but you dont do a whole lot of piro moves with a scaler, so i think you will be fine lol

If you bling it, they will come :D

3 axis flybarless

there are a lot of 3 axis systems out there...but the Gaui is not a good one.

The rest are good...even the Skookum is good like Gorn said...butit's a 2 axis system so you will need a tail gyro and the skookum if you go that route.

if you go 3 axis there is no extra tail gyro necessary

if thats what you are worried about then not to worry. post a pic of how close the flybar is to the top. most cases even though it looks close, it wont contact the top in flight. you only risk doing that if you spool up and the blades arent preddy straight. this wilcause the flybar to hang to one side thus impacting the top. also when you use your hand/palm to slow the head for adjustments etc, that can cause the flybar to do the same thing, otherwise youwont have to worry about it doing it in flight.
just wanted you to be aware before making an expensive descision

Hi Copter Doctor here are the pics of the flybar problem.I thought of raising the mechanics but the pushrods to the swashplate will have almost no clearance and it won't make a substantial difference to the flybar clearance.

Ouch, that is close. Well, you have options.
- Raise up mechanics. I'd say at least 2 to 3 inches.
- Use a Raptor head with top mounted flybar.
- Or your original plan - flybarless.

Raising is free
Raptor head is U$150
Flybarless is U$450

This gyro had fair reviews and is cheap:

and the head:
