I have one. So far have been very happy with it. Don't get to excited about the HD video. You don't have auto focus when it's recording which is a pain. Regular camcorders autofocus dynamically. It does record sound though which is a plus.

You'll need to play with it for a bit, it likes to over expose a little.

I noticed that too. I thought it was me. I find myself using the tripod and noflash mode more.

Didn't Imagine there were so many using it!

How is it for panos? Have an LX3 doing good, Think I'll get one of DJ'sPS1 Pano setups for my T rex 600e and use my Samsung for now, then save alittle more and go straight to a 5D MKII. Was trying to decide what to do for the panos I'm planning.

Thanks for the input

i use it (T1i) does tend to over - exposed, had an LX3 before it, was nice ,very light. but the extra 500 grams of the canon lets you change lans ,print bigger sizes without getting a grainy print, it also has a remote port so no more servo finger like at the LX3, wouldnt count on it for video there are better less heavy camcorder in the same level.
