My Posts This: Topic Forum | Got the RJX head a few days ago, nice for the price, altough I do not like the supplied plastic links.
Mechanical installation went good, altough on the T700, the main rotor hub attaches to the main shaft using 2 4mm screws that threads into the shaft. The Raptor shaft is a pass-through hole, so I installed a pass-through bolt with a locknut on the otehr side. A 4mm screws gave a little bit of play, so I used a 8-32 screw instead, which is a tight fit but there's no more play. I had to make an aluminium bushing to fill the recess where the original screw head was supposed to be (remember the hub is originally supposed to be held on the shaft with 2 4mm screws that threads into the shaft) because this recess is too small to accept a 8-32 locknut. With the bushing , there's no indue stress on the hub du to that locknut.
I will have to start playing with servo horns to find the right combination that will give the required cyclic and collective throws on this new head. I'm aiming at +-13 on the collective, and 10 degrees cyclic pitch. Don't know if these numbers sound right...
I installed the V-Bar in my T250 with a Microheli head to get familiar with the unit. It's a tight fit, but it works... Just did the first testhop a few minutes ago
