Reminds me of the time Szabo Jr. was at our FF without a night ship, so I loaned him my R50. During the flight, I was bragging to the guys how great the machine flew, having just upgraded to 9252's. After his flight, I asked Alan how he liked it, and his comment was, "it's a little slow". BOY, did I get heckled by the group!
Nrad, during my servo testing a few years ago, I found servo specs are not always up to par, especially with Hytecs. You should invest in some half-way decent digital servos, the difference will be much more apparent than what you have seen thus far. For example, 9252's are still great for what you need, and last a lot longer than their metal geared replacement 9451.
If $ is tight, I'd go with used quality servos over new low end ones any day!
