I got a set of 700mm V-Blades still new in package. They look to be v1's. I have flown V2, TST, Extremes, but not V1's.

Just curious if anyone knows what the main differences are between the first 2 versions of V-Blades. So far the only difference I can tell is the direction of the carbon weave seen on v2.

Thanks if anyone can help.

V1's used a dry plain weave carbon and a wet lay up process. I believe Vic was using a either West System or Pro-set epoxy.

The V1's and V2's were built similarly with the latter using using 2x2 carbon pre-preg. The three main advantages of pre-preg are: resin mechanical properties, fewer voids (air bubbles) and precise fiber to resin ratio.
