Don't forget, you need to also mount a transmitter on the heli so that you can get that video image back to a base station of some kind. You won't be, ussually, using that as a capture source, but you need it to know what your are taking pictures of. =)
What I would recommend is to get setup with a mount of some kind. Photohigher makes a bunch of small lightweight under slung mounts that would do well. Get your video downlink together and put it all on the heli. Don't forget your flight stablization if you plan on useing it. Then, using weights, find out what your max practical lift is. You can then use that to determine what the maximum weight of your camera payload will be.
