Don't care if they are great i just cant justify $60 for paddles, $30 for tail blades and $100 for mains. Why is that heli's have come down in cost and increased in quality, heck lipos are 1/4 the price they were when i started but blades are still crazy expensive.

Actually they come down in price because you now have nice colors and designs without an increase in price.

One thing to remember lipos gain in technology and easy of manufacturing them, same with machining centers to make better heli's and or parts with more places to compete on prices

But blades stay the same in price as the way they are made is still the same as they have always been.... labor intensive, limited availability of experienced people to make them, long cure times, multiple layup procedures, moderate defective quantities. CF material demand now in the aerospace industry is very high which makes material still expensive and sometimes hard to get…..last but not least High demand for high quality blades.

Ouch^^^ I'm not touching that one with a ten foot pole! But anyways

My Heli is really coming together check my set up

630 swe mains!!
Rossi @ 2250
8717 ,soon the new torq servos
az reg @ 8v
spartan and bls 251 on tail.

These blades r going to be the nutts with all these new motors with extra power

this is the most I have been hyped in the 50 size helis

630 blades(what!) coolest 50 blades yet

then in the same year outrage 50 that can swing them, and that's baddest 50 to date.

And 2.39 hp motors like the rossi.

All I got to say is this is the best year ever for the 50 size.

And outrage and Henry pulled off 3/4 of it.

Tell mr these guys are not moving forward!

Not kissing butt, what it is is what it is... Truth.

yah the blades are very nice..
and I like the look of the paddles but that price is much higher than CY stubz and RT paddles as well..
I'm not so sure about that.

to me they just priced themselves right out of my league of still crashing on occasion and not sponsored.

No I like the look as is... I'm sure they are nice paddles but 60.00 for paddles is to much IMO.

The main blades are better priced then I thought they would be I was expecting over 100.00. Like I said I'll pick some up to try out at some point but for now my Edge blades are working out great for now.

I don't care one way or the other, but

I don't think you can count the cy stubs for 45 bucks!

Stubs fly like total a$$ I would pay a extra 15 bucks before I ever fly them again.that's my opinion

U Can get them to fly ok but u have to use weights, I don't like heavy.

The prices to equip the latest incarnation of the 50/600 heli market are just plain stupid. Engines, blades, paddles, etc. Might as well buy a 90/700 and get all the benefits of a larger heli (not including fuel costs). I think the large 50 size 'marketeers' really need to re-examine what they'll do once market share is not realized.

Running a TT53 in Steven's Vel 50 on CP 30% getting just over 7 minutes with RT610's, changed over to Outrage Formula 30% and now getting 8 minutes on the same Engine/pipe setup, getting around 8 minutes with the 2nd Vel 50 with the NR57 on Formula, now we see how we do pulling the 630's

just as a comment about the paddles...
For a fair comparison, and yes this is on 90, but airfoil shape etc will be the same for the 50.
I have tried regular stubz, super stubz and V paddles, and now SWE.
I paid almost $80AU for these paddles.....money well spent!
Super fast snappy cyclic, BUT very smooth and precise when not stick banging.
Also track really well in high wind.
FFF never gets pitchy either.
I can understand people maybe not being able to afford or justify the extra $ , but trust me, they are THAT good.

If you bling it, they will come :D

so im fixen to order these but just noticed they are super thin cord.

like the cord of the older crappier G4 bargain Mavs

what is the difference in these blades vs the wider core 620s?

what does the thinner but slighter longer blade bring to the table?

I ask because as pointed out by Corona cosflaw 620s are much cheaper and fly fantastic on the Vel.

I will mention that I'm not a hardcore 3d guy either so someone else that flies harder sport flying please chime in.

will I get more stability from the thinner but slightly longer blade?
or is WC better for it?

With the length of these blades, the extra chord isn't really needed. They have a very strong pop feel to them, and I feel that if the chord was any wider than it is now, it would just be wasted and would load up the engine too much. This gives the blades a more efficient feel so when applying large amounts of cyclic or collective it doesn't load up the head very much. Because they are longer, the disk loading is lower, so it makes the heli feel lighter on the sticks, and also allows it to track much better through faster maneuvers. I'd say for all out pop, the wide chord might be better, but for a more usable pop the shorter chord is better.

Interesting.

But back to the blades, I really couldn't tell much difference between the 620 or the new 630 blades. I think they both fly great but the 630's do look awesome.
