My Posts This: Topic  Forum		hi.. posting this for my friend..he flies a raptor90..well he was flying just fine, mild 3d..did a couple of inverted hover went fine..the third attempt while inverted hover 'bout 30ft, when it came out of inverted, went up as normal 50-70ft. as it was coming out of inverting to right itself 'bout 90degree,,it just went straight down tail first.buried the tail half foot into the grass soil..motor was still running high then died as we ran to the field..major damaged as expected..my friend said he gave it elevator input but would not respond..upon inspection elevator servo seems fine (tt ace servo ds1015) responds to the tx input no problem.. but if we hold this servo arm/cyclic-(place pressure).. it stops moving, few seconds later moves as normal..seem to reset itself..we opened the servo no broken or missing metal gears..

any1 know if this is common? or know the cause?

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		sounds like the servo is bad. replace it. i dont know the cause but ive seen it before. luckily on my friends it was found before lift off !!

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		That servo is loosing its torque under a load so its no good,toss it out and buy another one or send it in for repair if its worth it.Yes its common and happens as I had it happen to me with a JR tail servo,it was fine and moved like nothing was wrong but once I put my finger on it to load the servo it would stop moving with the stick all the way over.Even if I let the servo horn go with the stick all the way over it still didn't move.If I let the stick go and move it again,then the servo would move.Servos don't reset,once they start having issues there no good and need replaced or sent in for repair.Hope that helps .
