if you want to go the conventional/mechanical way:
you can try using heavier paddles, which will give you gyroscopic stability
before you try anything, the bird should be in equilibrium (i.e. center of gravity should be on the main shaft). after that, all opposing linkages should be exact same length. the swash needs to be leveled at mid, high and low points - there are quite a few leveling tools available.
even if you get the bird setup perfectly, it will not sit/hover in one place too long. that is just the nature of the beast
