My Posts This: Topic Forum | I think this is a good time to bring up a subject called "alignment".
One of the nice features on this helicopter is the ablility to change the gear ratio, or just set your mesh, If necessary. But if you do not Align the engine and the clutch stack, it will ruin the One way, and the driver, also puting stress on the Bearings, unevenely.
I leave my motor, and clutch blocks loose. Then I take my starter and crank it over for a few seconds. Then I have a look at it. You can tell just by looking at your alignment if it is good or not. Then I push the motor up into the clutch all the way, and do it all again.
Then I first lightly tighten the motor in the frames, just lightly. Then I go to the blocks. The one most important thing you want to do is to make sure your upper and lower blocks are in line. I usually pull two screws upper and lower and look at where the holes are, then again take a look at your overall alignment. I do the starter trick again, and then start to re tighten the the blocks and motor carefully, watching to make sure nothing is moving.
You can instantly tell when everything is in line. It will crank over smooth, and have hardly any head movement.
Hope this helps
