Hey guys I think I need a new secondary receiver for the AR7000.
One of the antena wires broke. First the insulation around the wire cracked and then the wire eventually broke.
When I get the new part can I just simply plug it in with the main receiver and fly or do I have to bind the whole thing again?
Thanks guys.

Dont know about the rebind but if in doubt just do it to be on the safe side it only take a couple of seconds to do. What I have done with my receivers is cut a small peice of fuel tube and pushed it on the little plastic spiggot that the R.X antener wire comes through

Thanks for the reply Bear. The tubing is a great idea! Do you cut the tubing so it covers the whole antena wire or just part of the wire and plastic nub? The tubing won't interfer with reception?
Thanks again!

I cut the fuel tube longer than the wire, and as the rx is inside a grp canopy already and i,ve had no problems I cant see a bit of fuel tube causing an issue

Rebind

The Rx's bind independently of one another. You will have to rebind for the new Rx to see your Tx.

whenever you are in doubt. Re-Bind. It won't hurt a thing. Just give you piece of mind.

you will need to rebind, it's a new receiver (the satilite receiver).

I always put some shrink wrap over all the DSM2 antenna bases. If the RX doesn't have the nubs like the AR6100's then I also put a dab of hot glue gun glue around the base.

Thanks for all the replies guys! I'm real fussy with my stuff so I still can't believe that little bugger broke off. Anyways, thanks again for the help.
