My Posts This: Topic Forum | Just crashed my SDX yesterday due to a cell failure in my lipo pack and I can really say the SDX is very durable since my crash was high-speed dive loss control front end bottom first into soft packed soil ground at 2000 blade rpm (looks like a sliding crash, luckily engine died and no chicken dance and that the recent typhoon wetted/softened the ground).
Damaged parts are the usual main blades, spindle, mast, boom, landing gear. Boom supports and 2 linkages were bent. The radio tray was damaged but could have been avoided if I used the stock plastic body posts and not aluminum ones. Engine and muffler is OK. The springy SDX landing gear and dampeners absorbed most of the impact.
I estimate the cost of repair to around US$60 not including the main blades of course.
